You will also analyze traffic sources and channel performance (e.g., paid, organic, email, social) to understand how users arrive on the site and how different acquisition strategies impact behavior and conversion.The insights you generate will directly influence website improvements and enhance the overall customer experience. We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights—paired with excellent communication skills to effectively share those insights across teams.
Given the existing data engineering support, this role will focus on translating business questions into actionable insights and experimentation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of e-commerce KPIs and the technical acumen to collaborate effectively with our Analytics, Data, and Martech Engineers.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze On-site User Behavior: Dive deep into web analytics data (GA4) to uncover trends, identify friction points in the user journey, and provide actionable insights to the E-commerce team.
- Develop Actionable Dashboards: Build and maintain automated reports and dashboards (primarily in Looker) to track key website performance indicators (KPIs), user funnels, and the impact of experiments.
- Provide Data-Driven Recommendations: Translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations for website improvements, new features, and optimization strategies.
- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Help with design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and multivariate tests on the website to drive conversion rate optimization and improve user experience together with the Webshop team
- Analyze Traffic Channels: Evaluate the performance of various acquisition channels (e.g., paid search, SEO, email, affiliates, social media) and their impact on user behavior, conversion, and retention.
- Bridge Business and Technology: Act as a key liaison between the E-commerce team and the central BI team, collaborating with Analytics and Data Engineers to ensure the data models and pipelines meet the needs of on-site analysis.
- Collaborate with Martech Engineering: Partner with our Martech Engineer to define and implement robust event tracking, support our server-side GTM (sGTM) setup, and ensure compliance with consent settings.
- Help drive the data governance strategy, making sure data is not just available – but also understandable and responsibly managed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Web Analyst, Digital Analyst, or in a similar role within an e-commerce environment.
- Expertise with web analytics platforms, particularly Google Analytics 4 (GA4) / Looker
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
- Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and other web experimentation frameworks.
- Exhibit strong analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate the results of complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
It Is a Bonus If You Have
- Experience with business intelligence software like Looker.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery.
- Familiarity with data transformation tools like dbt.
- Experience with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO) or user behavior tools (e.g., Hotjar, Contentstack / Bloomreach)
- Knowledge of tag management systems, especially server-side GTM.
