The Data and AI manager works on projects combining product ownership activities, project management and use case development with experience in coding (e.g. Python, R, Databricks) and database knowledge (e.g. SQL, Qlik, PowerBI).
Other responsibilities include overseeing the analysis of complex datasets, understanding of AI models to uncover key insights, and handling of database design. The role includes partnering with business teams to translate requirements into actionable solutions.
Your role:
- Partners with business teams to understand their data needs and challenges, translating requirements into well-defined technical specifications and actionable data solutions.
- Takes on the role of Product Owner for requirements definition where required.
- Ensures continuous improvement of data engineering and AI capabilities in team, evaluating emerging technologies, optimizing processes, and driving innovation to deliver value-added solutions to the organization.
- The Data and AI manager helps analyze large and complicated data sets and supports building AI models to find important trends and insights that help guide business decisions.
- When needed, external service providers will carry out detailed analysis, working closely with the Data and AI manager to ensure work meets business needs.
- Directs the development and implementation of efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
- Is involved in building and deployment of AI models in production environments, ensuring adherence to best practices for security, scalability, and model explainability, and overseeing ongoing monitoring and maintenance activities.
- Ensuring initiatives’ adherence to regulatory standards, privacy policies, and ethical guidelines in the collection, storage, and use of data assets in line with organizational policies.
- Providing documentation of data pipelines, models, and processes, ensuring clarity, maintainability, and effective knowledge transfer within the team and across departments.
- Hands-on troubleshooting efforts for data quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective solutions.

You're the right fit if:
Education:
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Econometrics, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Data Handling, Data Analytics, AI Modeling or equivalent experience in complex transformation programs where you have played a key role in driving the project through completion.
Experience:
- Some experience in using programming languages such as Python and experience in data analytics and data visualization
- Experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager in a technical IT or AI oriented environment
- Experience or affinity to work in Agile environments and ability to support Scrum teams.
- Ability to effectively engage and manage senior stakeholders to foster strong partnerships with Data and AI team.
- Experience in AI Algorithm Development is appreciated
